Ben Mauzé is a North Carolina photographer whose passion began in high school and took him around the world—from the Utah wilderness to Bolivia's high Andes, where he worked as a climbing and mountain bike guide. A traumatic bike accident in Bolivia in 2011 left him with aphasia, impaired vision, and limited mobility. Now back in Wilson, Ben continues to create with the same distinctive vision, capturing small-town life, nature, and people around him with his iPhone. His work has been showcased at the American Center for Photographers (ACP), Eyes on Main Street international photography festival, a solo exhibit, To Bolivia and Home Again at 217 BrewWorks, and Time: A Journey Through Moments, Memories, and Change, ACP, Wilson.
